Traditionally,
wedding couples have received multiple gifts of the same electric can-opener or
more than one toaster and hence the wedding gift registry was born. A list of
gifts from which you can select and mark off your choice and avoid giving the
wedding couple the same item as someone else. To get the register around people
have used various methods including written check lists, ticket books and other
ways of marking off the chosen gifts.
Commercial retailers were quick to take advantage of the trend and although this suits a lot of people, there are many who would prefer to have the choice of where they would like to buy their gifts. No Frills Wedding Register charges no fee for guests to select their gifts and receives no commissions from gift purchases. It's just a convenient gift registry and cost effective way to manage a gift list.
As soon as registration is paid and accepted you will be sent your login details via email. You will then be able to log in to the site as a member and manage the gift list on behalf of the wedding couple.
As part of your registration details you will also be sent a guest login which you forward on to all the wedding guests who can then log into the site and mark off the gift they wish to purchase.
Wedding guests are then free to purchase their selected gift from wherever they wish and at the price of their choice. They will have the pleasure of personally giving the gift to the happy bridal couple with the knowledge that they are not doubling up on gifts with another guest.
When the wedding is over, the list simply deactivates.
